What is the difference between a digital reproducible book and an e-book?

A DIGITAL REPRODUCIBLE BOOK is created as an 8.5x11" printable .pdf file. It is intended that you print the pages for use in your classroom.

An E-BOOK is a digital file specifically formatted for use with a personal e-book reader, such as a Kindle, iPad, Nook, Sony or other device. It is a read-only file and can not be printed.

Both are considered to be DIGITAL PRODUCTS and are available for immediate download as soon as your payment process is completed.

Why do you sell multiple eBook formats in one zipped file?
We believe that when you buy an eBook, you should be able to read it on any device that you own. Having to purchase a different format for each device is like saying you have to purchase additional print books if you want to read it in a different room.

That's ridiculous! And that's why we bundle all available formats for any given title in a zipped file.

There are a few exceptions. Because PDF files are printable, they are sold separately from other eBook formats. Also, some publishers may insist on selling each file format separately. That is their decision. If you think it's a bad one, complain to them, not to us.

How do I unzip the files?
Most of the newer PCs and Macs come with software to unzip files. If you don't have that software, you may find it at a variety of places online.

The links below are provided as a courtesy to our customers. We do not endorse nor make any claims of reliability for these products or sites. Download at your own risk.

How do I know which eBook format to use?
Your reader device should have come with a user guide listing the compatible file formats.

Note: Once an eBook has been downloaded, it cannot be refunded or exchanged. Please be sure your device can read one of the available formats before downloading.

How do I upload the eBook to my reader?
1. After downloading and unzipping your files, determine which format you need to upload to your device.

2. Follow the directions that came with your device to connect it to your computer.

3. In most cases, you will be able to drag the eBook file from your computer into the appropriate folder on your device, usually the Documents or My Documents folder.

4. Follow the directions that came with your device to safely disconnect it from your computer.

5. You may keep a backup file of the e-book on your computer.

I only have one reader, but you've given me multiple reader formats. Can I give those other formats to a friend?
Sorry, but no. Books are protected by copyright law and may not be copied or distributed. When you purchase a book from our site, you are basically purchasing a license for your own personal use. If you own multiple e-readers, you may download it to each reader—for example, you may put a copy on your Kindle, one on your cell phone, and one on your PC.

However, when you email a file to a friend or give away the formats you can't use, you are breaking the law. You are, in effect, robbing the author of their fair payment for their creation, and making it difficult for us to continue to offer quality digital books at low prices.

If you were the recipient of an unauthorized copy of a book from our site, please delete the file or contact us to make payment. Please do not participate in digital piracy. Violators will be prosecuted.

Can I purchase multiple copies of an eBook?
You can, but since you can store a copy on your personal computer, as well as on multiple reader(s) for your personal use, there is really no need to do so.

The exception to this is if you are purchasing copies for friends. In this case, however, we suggest giving them a Gift Certificate instead.

GENERAL EBOOK INFORMATION

What is an eBook?
An eBook is a digitized electronic version of a book that you can download to an ebook reader (like a Kindle or Nook), a handheld device (like a cell phone or PDA), or to your personal computer (PC or Mac).

Do I have to buy an eBook reader to read an eBook?
You have to have a reader of some sort, but you don't have to buy one. Kindle and Nook both offer free reader software for PCs and Macs. There are also a variety of free reader apps available for smartphones and other handheld devices.

Why are some of your books unavailable in all formats?
The publisher chooses the format selection. We suggest they make their titles available in EPUB, MOBI, PRC, PDB and LRF formats, as these cover about 90% of the more popular readers on the market today.

If you need a format for your device that is not available on our site, please contact us and we may be able to make it available to you.

Can I print the eBook?
Many of our books are available in PDF format and are intended for use in a classroom setting. Therefore, when you purchase them, you may print multiple copies for your students to use. You may not print multiple copies to share with another teacher or family or to sell.

Other eBook formats are not printable.

How is eBook pricing determined?
The publisher sets the price for the eBook. They also determine the formats in which the books are available, and whether they are sold as separate files or zipped together in a package.
